Ambassador of Russia meets with Seychelles’ President
The Ambassador of the Russian Federation to the Republic of Seychelles, H.E. Mr. Artyom Kozhin, met with the President of the Republic of Seychelles, Mr. Wavel Ramkalawan, during a courtesy call at State House on Tuesday, 16 February 2021.
The discussion covered a broad variety of issues, including cooperation in the field of trade and economy, education and academic exchanges, tourism, resumption of direct flights between Moscow and Victoria, Russia’s assistance towards Seychelles’ efforts in fighting the COVID-19 pandemic.
Both Sides confirmed their desire to further promote historically friendly and mutually advantageous ties.
This year, the two countries celebrate 45 years of diplomatic relations and 140 years since the first Russia-Seychelles contacts.
