President Vladimir Putin congratulates President Wavel Ramkalawan

Russian President Vladimir Putin has congratulated Seychelles' new President Wavel Ramkalawan who won the general elections held last weekend.

President Putin's message reads: "Accept my congratulations on your election to the Presidential post. Russia and Seychelles traditionally enjoy friendly relations. I am confident that their further constructive development meets the interests of both our nations to full extent. I wish you every success in fulfilment of such important duty at the helm of state, as well as good health and well-being."
